Border Crossing Requirements:

Native-born US Citizens: Option 1) Proof of Birth and Photo ID, or Option 2) US Passport.

Naturalized US Citizens: Option 1) Naturalization Certificate and Photo ID, or Option 2) US Passport.

US Residents (non-citizens): Alien Registration Receipt Card (US form I-151 or 1-551).

All International Visitors: Valid machine readable passport with proper travel documents (I-94, Canadian/US Visa if required, IAP-66, J-forms, etc).

Foreign Exchange Students: Must bring along all appropriate paperwork including an IAP-66 (pink form), original I-20 in addition to their passport and I-94 card.

Persons under 18: Minors who are not accompanied by their parent/legal guardian should bring a letter from parent/legal guardian giving them permission to travel to Canada.

Where do the tours pick-up from?

Tours company picks up at the hotels.motels and campgrounds in Niagara Falls USA for the US based tours, and from the hotels/motels and campgrounds in Niagara Falls Ontario for the Canadian based tours.

Are the tours appropriate for children?

The tours are fun for the entire family! The guides are fun and entertaining, and really make everyone feel comfortable! From the stories of the daredevils going over the Falls, to the real life "miracle of Niagara", everyone will find their tour to be an enjoyable and relaxing experience! The Maid of the Mist has no age restrictions, and it's a blast for kids of all ages!

Can I bring a camera/video camera?

Absolutely! When enjoying the Maid of the Mist Boat ride, Cave of the Winds Trip or Journey Behind the Falls, you may want to bring along a plastic bag to protect your electronics. You'll get some great photos and when it's too wet on the Maid of the Mist Boat ride etc., just wrap up the camera and you're good to go!

Does the Maid of the Mist Boat Ride operate year round?

No. Too much ice and snow in the winter. When the boat is not in operation, Tours substitutes admission to the Journey Behind the Falls to walk back behind the Horseshoe Falls. The Maid of the Mist season typically begins mid to late April and runs through the end of October.

Is there a lot of walking on the tours?

The All American Adventure has the most walking, and involves stairs on the Cave of the Winds Trip. The rest of the tours feature relatively short walking distances with little or no stairs. There are plenty of benches throughout the parks during the tour, so if someone in your party doesn't want to participate in everything, they don't have to.

Are the tours handicapped accessible?

All of the tour routes are wheelchair accessible. The vehicles however, are not equipped with wheelchair lifts. The tour company does have medium size (200 lbs max.) wheelchairs available at their office for guests who may require some assistance.

Do the tours still operate if the weather is bad?

The tours run rain or shine! There's always a little mist in the air around Niagara Falls, so you don't really notice any raindrops!

How far in advance should I make reservations?

It is recommended to make your reservations at least a week prior to arrival to guarantee the tour and departure time of your choice. We do accept reservations up until the time of departure on a space available basis.

Are strollers permitted on the tours?

Absolutely! As long as it is an umbrella type (has a covering) stroller.

Are there any extra fees not included in the price of the tours?

No, all tours are inclusive of taxes and fees! The tour guides work very hard throughout the tour to insure a great Niagara Falls experience. If you appreciate their efforts, you can recognize them with a gratuity. It is customary to tip guides 15% if you have completely enjoyed your tour experience.
